The rise of Impact-led ventures: Super Connect for Good Final 2021
One of the most important questions in the world right now is how to use emerging innovative technology solutions to change people’s lives for the better.
Covid-19 affected the rate of innovation for countries across the world. Major shutdowns of economies and the inability for workforces and teams to meet up in person caused innovation to slow. However, the world is starting up again, economies are bouncing back, and innovation is growing.
There are some extraordinary companies around the world creating amazing things which can positively impact people’s lives.
The Super Connect for Good competition is a movement that celebrates and supports these companies through pioneering partnerships and collaboration with top growth organisations:
“The Super Connect for Good Competition seeks to discover and super connect the best emerging tech start-ups and scale-ups creating positive social impact to enhance people’s lives through technology.”
As a company that prides itself on its impact-led ethos, it was an honour to be placed in the top 10 of the Pre-seed Challenge 2021 - run by Super Connect for Good. Being picked for this competition means that our mission, to increase sports participation and better students’ wellbeing, has been recognised as having an important social impact.
On the 30th of September one of our Co-founders, Sam, pitched Univarsity at the live digital event to 3 judges (2 from Microsoft for Start-up’s and 1 from Empact Ventures), alongside 9 other pre-seed companies. See the recorded pitch bellow:
