Univarsity Officially Announces Innovative Partnership with London South Bank University

Univarsity will be launching its flagship product, YouPlus, with London South Bank University (LSBU) to enhance the activity levels, mental health, and academic performance of LSBU students.

The first-of-its-kind product links exercise to academic performance and will support the objectives of LSBU’s ‘Proactive and Preventative Interventions for Black Students’ project. Funded by the Office for Students (OfS) and delivered in conjunction with NHS Good Thinking, the project aims to directly address and reduce the inequality experienced by Black students in higher education, through better mental health services and support.

Univarsity has already started work with the London university, creating bespoke content on campus with LSBU students for the YouPlus platform. The content is focused on being relatable and inclusive with exercise videos using friendly faces in recognisable places, creating a personalised path into the brain-boosting benefits of physical exercise for LSBU students.

The partnership will run for 6 months and see YouPlus deployed, refined, and enhanced over the 22/23 academic year in preparation for a full Europe-based launch in September 2023. Univarsity will be sharing results and successes with leading universities throughout this process to maximise YouPlus’ potential reach and impact.
