The groundbreaking collaboration with London South Bank University (LSBU) has set a new benchmark in how we perceive and harness the synergy between physical activity and academic performance. Initially set up to support the 'Proactive and Preventative Interventions for Black Students' project, Univarsity’s work alongside LSBU has been centred around providing better opportunities for positive university lifestyles and healthy habits in underserved communities in higher education. By developing bespoke, relatable content directly on LSBU's campus, featuring familiar faces and locations, the project delivered an inclusive and personalised entry into the countless benefits of exercise, not just for the body, but crucially, for the mind.

Our Partnership with LSBU

The YouPlus App, the cornerstone of this collaboration, exemplifies how targeted, inclusive initiatives can create a bridge to better physical wellbeing, mental health, and academic performance, even in the hardest-to-engage students. This first-of-its-kind product does not merely suggest a link between exercise and academic performance—it vividly demonstrates it, offering students a tailored pathway to enhanced mental acuity in areas vitial for learning.

This achievement at the London Sport Awards 2024 is a testament to the hard work, innovation, and partnership that define Univarsity and our partners LSBU. It acknowledges our commitment to breaking new ground alongside innovative institutions, where the power of physical activity is leveraged to transform the student experience.
